Do you work in surrounding areas of Guelph?

Yes definitely! We’re happy to regularly serve areas surrounding Guelph. These include Puslinch, Cambridge, Kitchener/Waterloo, Elora, Rockwood, and everywhere in between. For travel time more than 30ish minutes, we'll discuss a travel fee with you.

Do you charge for consultations?

Our consultations are free of charge. Align extends a one-hour complimentary consultation, which is an informal tour of your space, a chance for us to meet, discuss your challenges and priorities, and arrange a plan of action that best suits you. Book yours here.

We have pets – Are you allergic to cats or dogs?

We are happy to work in homes with pets – no pet allergies here!

Do I have to be there when you’re working?

We often work for clients when they’re at work or away. There is much we do on our own, however it is essential that you are available for stretches of purging. Beyond decision-making, your level of involvement is up to you. Some questions can be answered via phone, text or video conversation. Once we assess your space in the consultation, we’ll choose the best scenario that makes sense for you.

Do you haul away junk?

We sure do! For smaller loads, we haul away at the end of each workday in our vehicle. For larger amounts, we partner with two junk removing companies who are highly experienced with home organizing clients.

What happens to items we no longer want?

We do our best to keep items out of landfill so we distribute your no longer wanted items in good condition between donation and recycling. At the landfill we also drop off electronic waste and household hazardous waste (like paint and cleaning chemicals). If applicable, we can also help with online kijiji/marketplace sales and set up furniture and clothing consignment accounts for you. How long will it take to get our home organized?

We give time estimates after assessing your space in the initial consultation. In our experience, smaller projects take up to 2-5 days and larger jobs can be 15 to 20 days. Factors that contribute to project length include the size of the space, how much stuff you have, your readiness for decision-making, and your expectations on depth of the organizing.

Do you provide storage items such as bins or shelving?

We take the guesswork out of finding perfect storage items by doing the shopping for you. We deliver the best bins, baskets, hangers, shoe racks, and storage solutions for your specific needs. During the initial consultation we take note of your current organizing solutions and determine what we can reuse or repurpose from storage items you already have before buying new. We do not purchase furniture pieces but can help with suggestions.

How long have you been in business?

Align has been working in Guelph, Ontario since July 2017. Paula owned a professional home organizing business in Calgary, Alberta for 11 years before selling it in 2016. That’s 12 + years of expertise.

What areas of the home do you organize?

Align can organize every single space in your house, from whole home overhauls to smaller troubled areas. This includes inside your refrigerator, purse and vehicle if you ask us to! We also organize small business offices and larger commercial spaces too.

Do you work alone or with others?

Align offers one skilled professional or a dynamic team of two for a reduced rate. We’ll decide together in your consultation how many organizers make the most sense for you. Some projects require only one organizer, while a team in a larger space benefits from more work done in less time with well-rounded expertise and the flawless ability to tackle complicated tasks.

Do you organize storage units?

Yes, we will meet you onsite to organize your storage unit. We can also help transfer goods to your home, another location, donation, consignment, or landfill for waste and recycling.

Do you have confidentiality agreements?

Yes. We will happily provide you with one upon request.

Do you provide moving services, such as packing and unpacking?

While we don’t provide packing services, we do provide help with pre-move decluttering to ensure the only things you’re taking with you are the things you really need and/or want. We can then meet you the day the truck arrives to start unpacking and putting things away in the most organized way.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept e-transfer, cheque or cash.

How much do you charge?

Align offers one skilled professional for $85 per hour or a dynamic team of two for a reduced rate of $150 per hour. We offer a minimum 3 hour organizing session to make any sort of solid transformation in your space. Our rates are based on our extensive 12 plus years experience and our ability to work quickly and efficiently. We know your time and money are incredibly valuable.
